About Me

My photo
I am a stay at home mom, of 4. I have 3 boys and 1 girl, and am married to my best friend and the greatest husband ever. I love to create beautiful things and like many of you out there, I am starting this blog in order to share a bit of myself with you. I have been so inspired by many of you, and I hope to do the same for someone else. Plus this just seems like fun and bonus it's a great way to share my family with loved ones.

Just some funny Pictures

Every year Grandma Ineta sends us a gingerbread house to decorate. It's one of the things we look forward to during the holidays.

Turned out really cute this year. It is totally loaded with goodies.

Happy Birthday Levi

Levi turned the big "8" November 12th. We had a really fun party. He will be getting Baptized on Dec 26th. What a fun kid.

Pretty Pink Applesauce

I love it when you sneak up on yourself and get a huge project finished before you realize you have even started. Ok, that sounds funny but my mom and sisters know what I am talking about. This morning I headed out to take the boys to school at 8:00am...not thoughts of making applesauce on my mind. By 9:30am Ella and I were sitting on the kitchen floor enjoying a sample of the prettiest pink applesauce I have ever seen. It not only looked good it was super yummy. Thanks Mike for the apples. So tonight I feel pretty good, I got 4 boxes of apples turned into sauce and successfully bottled. And because I was making apple sauce I had to make Pork Roast for dinner which turned out fantastic if I do say so myself. Love nights when I am exhausted because I got a big project done.
I wish you could see how pink this applesauce really is. Looks more like the color of grapefruit.

Therapy

So Tucker came down with Strep throat this week. He was really feeling bad... this after being on antibiotics for a few days already. So I riped the sheets off every ones beds, washed them and any blankets Tucker might have been cuddling under, sanitized all door knobs etc... and kept him hopped up on Ibo and Tylenol all day. After all this I put Tuck in front of a show, Ella down for a nap and finished sewing Ella's Hoddie and yoga pants. Sometimes sewing is my therapy... I felt much better having accomplished this project. These patterns are from Heidi and Finn on etsy. The fabric is Michael Miller Knit. Button holes turned out terrible but I love how it turned out anyway. I am not a hot pink gal but Ella really looks cute in it. Here she is in her new outfit. Levi loves to play with Ella and helped me get some pictures.

Here we go...

So I have wanted to do this for a while but kept putting it off. I already have so much to do this feels a little like I am just adding one more thing to my plate. I am hoping however that this can be a place for me to share ideas, thoughts and pictures of my work. Sometimes I feel like my work is hardly worth doing. Most things I do here at home are so easily undone. I think that is one of the reasons I like sewing so much. You get a finished project. When it is done it is done, and no one is going to undo it.

In the past I have done a lot of sewing for myself. In Dec of 2009 I was blessed with my 4th child... my first girl. Since then I have not done a whole lot of sewing for myself, but have done a ton for or little girl. Here are a few things I have sewn for her lately.
