About Me

My photo
I am a stay at home mom, of 4. I have 3 boys and 1 girl, and am married to my best friend and the greatest husband ever. I love to create beautiful things and like many of you out there, I am starting this blog in order to share a bit of myself with you. I have been so inspired by many of you, and I hope to do the same for someone else. Plus this just seems like fun and bonus it's a great way to share my family with loved ones.

I really wanted to take some cute pictures of my kids for a Christmas card this year but this is the progression of the photo shoot.

And # 7...I should have just used this last one. Oh well. Maybe next year.

This is Ella in her new coat. It is made from an Oliver and S pattern. I used a pre-quilted fabric on the outside and a minky soft fabric on the inside. The inside is made out of the stuff that Ella loves on her special blanket. Needles to say she loves the coat... can you tell.

I off set the buttons...love how it turned out.

This is a jumper I made her today. The best part for me is that I drafted the pattern myself. It looks so cute on her. I just couldn't get a good shot, she is to fast for the camera.

This is the back. I plan on making a ruffley slip skirt to go under it since the back flies open when she is running by.

Here she is when she first came to us. Oh if I could just

jump into this picture and hold her just like this for a while.

This is Ella on her first birthday. Seems like just yesterday

And here she is today. 2 years old and showing it.
Ella is so much fun!

Her new favorite thing is Snow White. She is getting the

movie for Christmas.... shhhh.

She keeps asking to watch it since she got her doll.

We rented the movie a few weeks ago...

she must think i am hiding it someplace.

She is also very into here new up shoes and

wants to wear her to to on a regular basis.

Kitchen Redo

I just spent the last week redoing much of my kitchen. I should have taken before pictures but I forgot. Above the bar used to be an over head cabinet we took out. It wrapped around to where the open shelving now is. It opened up the kitchen so much and made it much lighter. Plus I love having open shelving to display some dishes etc. I am excited to decorate this a little at Christmas.

This is the other side of the kitchen. The yellow counter top went up the wall as well for a back splash. We added bead board, cause you can't ever have enough bead board in your home. We also replaced all the knob, pulls and hinges.

We still have a bit of work to do. You can see above the open shelves that the wall needs painted. I would actually like to put bead board up around the whole kitchen dinning area but I have to take it a little at a time. After that I have a new color to go above the bead board. Until then I am loving my new kitchen.

Just some funny Pictures

Every year Grandma Ineta sends us a gingerbread house to decorate. It's one of the things we look forward to during the holidays.

Turned out really cute this year. It is totally loaded with goodies.

Happy Birthday Levi

Levi turned the big "8" November 12th. We had a really fun party. He will be getting Baptized on Dec 26th. What a fun kid.
